When it comes to social media, who doesn’t love a hack or two? Well, as always, we’ve got you covered!
This is one of our favourite new Vancouver social media hacks… How to use Facebook Collections to save content (and save yourself time)!
Wait… What are Facebook Collections and how can they help me simplify my Vancouver social media?
Facebook now allows you to save content – including posts, photos, events, and pages – into what they’ve dubbed Facebook Collections. But they’ve kept it super quiet, which is why you may not have heard about this great Vancouver social media hack!
How does it work? As you scroll through your News Feed or visit Pages on Facebook, you just save the material you want and it gets sent over to your Facebook Collections! Think of it like Pinterest… for Facebook.
What’s great about Facebook Collections is that you can take anything that interests you and set it aside for later. This lets you create mood and inspiration boards – or just have a one-stop shop for all the content you care about!
Most important of all though, you can identify relevant content to your business and keep an eye on how it’s growing. One of the easiest ways to do this is to check back on saved content, looking at the number of views and comments each piece is getting. For example, if you see a video that you find relevant to your company, you can check back on it every 24 hours to see how many views it’s gotten and how much engagement it’s created. This way, you’ll always have a handle on what’s holding people’s interest on social media.
So, how do I save my Vancouver social media content to my Facebook Collections?
When you’ve found social media content you’re interested in on Facebook, click the three dots at the top of the post, video, or page. When you do that, a menu will drop down with several options, including “Save link”. Click on this option and the item will save to your Facebook Collection. Easy as that!
Once you’ve saved your content, you can access them with the “Saved” tab under the “Explore” tab on the left column of your Facebook feed.
When you are in your saved content, you can group it into various Collections (like Pinterest boards) based on theme, topic – or any other organizational system you want! Once you have your Collections topics picked, you can easily separate your saved content into them with the “Add to Collection” button below each item.
As always, you can share any item in your Facebook Collections through the “Share” button or unsave it by clicking the “x” in the top right corner of any piece of content.
